Accurity was hired to perform the mechanical installation portion of 36 – HRSG penetration seals, 2 – Combustion Turbine to HRSG expansion joints and the installation of a dust cover over one of the expansion joints. The work took place in the Carolinas and was performed on 2 Nooter/Eriksen HRSG’s. This included the removal of the old seals, welding of the new seal kits, ASME code welding of poison pads/seal material to the boiler piping, the removal of the old expansion joints and installation of the new ones, and finally the installation of the dust covers by welding them in. The project was completed on time and on budget.
