Accurity was hired to perform the removal and replacement of 2 – 16″ sch 160 P-91 Non Return Valves on a Nooter/Eriksen HRSG during an outage this Spring.
The job included:
- the cutting out of the old valves
- rigging and installation of the new valves
- welding, performing pre-heat and post weld heat treatment
- taking hardness readings before and after
- and of course, non-destructive examination using phased array of the welds after post weld heat treatment. The welds had no indications and the project was completed on time and in budget.
